Arogya Express MMV - South

Colorcon’s CSR initiative programme “ Arogya express” mobile van project South is active since 2016 and has delivered free primary healthcare to more than 2500000 patients over the past 10 years. A simple yet revolutionary initiative, executed on a large scale, it has brought free primary healthcare to village communities in remotest needy villages of Dharbandoda/Quepem and sanguem taluka

MISSION

To deliver quality free primary healthcare at the doorsteps of the needy/disabled/senior citizens in remotest villages away from public health facilities with help of mobile health care units

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • More than 250000 patients treated with free medical consultation and medicines since its inception in 2016 with help of MMVs
  • As on date 2 Mobile Medical Clinics are operational in areas Dharbandoda/quepem/Sanguem areas
  • Presence in 11 Vps and 63 wards serving  28000 population , and covering 10 GHS/ 45 GPS schools, 35 Aanganwadis .

TARGETED IMPACT

  • 15000 Direct beneficiaries per MMV per annum
  • Reduced Mortality Rates: Decreases maternal and infant mortality through timely prenatal checkups and localized delivery care.
  • Disease Prevention: Increases vaccination rates and improves the early detection of chronic conditions like cancer and heart disease.
  • Prompt Treatment: Shortens diagnostic delays for infectious or bacterial illnesses to prevent long-term disabilities.
  • Nutritional Gains: Mitigates severe malnutrition through dedicated village health and nutrition committee programs.

Rural India still suffers from inadequate and inaccessible primary healthcare facilities.
Rural Health Centers are critically short of trained medical personal.
Preventable and curable diseases dominate the morbidity pattern.

  • of rural Indians do not have access to critical medicine.
  • 31 % of the population still travels more than 10 kms seeking the quality healthcare services.

  • Mobile Medical Clinics are the best solution as recommended by the National Rural Health Mission.
